Upper Decker contest and street room footage 5.22.10

Last Night at the Skate Naked park Rob Turner hosted an event for the release of Upper Decker Zine's 5th issue. There were a few contests and a BBQ. I got there a little late and missed the street room contest. I did manage to film the ramp contest. 1st place went to Nick Boso with Max Growick getting 2nd. After that I filmed some stuff in the street room. Check out Joe Charlton's F/S 270 nollie heel over the hip and Jerrick's 360 flip down the stairs.

Resident: A Walk in The Park

At midnight tonight Columbus based Resident Skateboards released a 3 minute long promo edit shot entirely at the Skate Naked park. Filmed and edited by Joe Charlton. It's short but pretty solid...Everyone on the team has at least a few tricks. I was pleasantly surprised by Jason Hogue's section... I really wanted to see more Joey Penry footage... Skate Nated opening weekend. Video #2

Yesterday a group of us got together at the park to celebrate Kevin Krahel's birthday. We skated the new ramp for a couple hours. It was actually a pretty mellow session. People are already getting used to the ramp and are starting to kill it...

Skate Naked Ramp is open!!!!

The new ramp at the park opened this weekend. They did an outstanding job building it. The transition is really tight making it very fast. Here's some footage of one of the first sessions....

bakerized...

I recently received a facebook friend request from a new Skateshop in Columbus called “Bakerized”. Everyone I know who rides a skateboard seems to have received the same request within a period of a couple days. On the same day I received the request I got a message from a couple shop guys mentioning the same thing, They both thought it was somewhat fishy…
I did a little digging, very little in fact.. but I did find some interesting info… It looks like these guys are a rollerblade shop that has decided to jump into the skate game. This fact is NOT

The ramp/bowl is almost done. nearly all of the masonite is on and the coping is being put on as I type this. Should be fully skateable this weekend. So stoked on this. I took this photo of Patchuck last week.
